Cenith was approached by our client, a Train Operating Company, to develop a commercial and procurement strategy, prepare the contract documents, and manage the procurement process for the early contractor involvement (ECI) of suppliers. These suppliers were engaged to undertake the design and construction of platform extensions and associated signal relocations at various rail stations.

The requirement for an early contractor involvement approach became evident upon reviewing the programme delivery timescales, the status of the design, and the complexity of the infrastructure.
